Downtown Athens

Athens hosts a vibrant music scene and numerous restaurants and bars, including the historic Georgia Theater and accompanying rooftop restaurant and bar.

State botanical gardens

The botanical gardens (http://botgarden.uga.edu) are located about 2.5 miles south of UGA’s campus and offer 11 botanical and horticultural collections, as well as 5 miles of nature trails.

Georgia Museum of Art

Located within the Performing Arts Center on UGA’s East campus, the art museum (http://georgiamuseum.org) features multiple esteemed works, special exhibits, and films.

Sanford Stadium

Home of the Georgia Bulldogs and situated in the heart of UGA’s campus, the stadium is among the top ten largest college football stadiums in the country, seating 92,746 people.
